           There are always multiple questions when it comes to a PCS. I will post questions and answers that anyone may have or if I have someone contact me and ask more specific questions I'll update them here. No need for someone to search through comments just to find a simple answer.

 

Q: I’m trying to get a list together of all POA’s I should go ahead and get. We already have a general. I know I need to get one for the HHG and POV, what others did you end up needing during your PCS process?

 

A: I had a POA of shipping/receiving POV, shipping/receiving HHG, and for filing claims for damaged/missing goods once you receive your HHG. That was all I needed, but if you come across something else you may need it for they can be done very quickly!

 

Q:  I am looking to take the train to Amsterdam or Paris but I'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg to do so. Do you have any suggestions?

 

A: Your best bet is to go to your local train station. Talk to them in person. They will be able to give you the best deals. They can also print out a list of times available for the dates you are looking at. They also have "travel agents" that can do a 2 in 1 deal and also book hotels for you. The time and date of your travel will adjust the price. Typically weekends are cheaper and after 9:00am on weekdays are cheaper. But just ask at the train station about the best deals. I would not suggest buying train tickets online ever. They are always more expensive. My husband and I always go inside the train station to buy tickets!
